For businesses
How quickly can you send someone?+
Most requests take about forty seconds to send. The office checks who is free straight away and calls you back within minutes. The sooner you ask, the easier it is to fill.
Do I need an account or a contract?+
No. Send a request with your name and mobile number and confirm the code we text you. There is nothing to sign up front.
How do I pay?+
By bank transfer against one invoice. Hours come from the worker's clock-in and clock-out in the app, so you only pay for the time worked.
Are the staff checked?+
Yes. Everyone is checked for identity and right to work in the UK before their first shift, and City Clean's office approves every worker.
What if I need to cancel?+
Call the office as early as you can. Cancellations less than 24 hours before the start are charged at the minimum shift.
For staff
How do I start?+
Download the app or use it on the web, sign in with your mobile number, and complete your profile: about you, the work you do, right to work, photo ID and a selfie, pay details and an emergency contact. The office checks it and approves you.
When do I get paid?+
Every Friday through City Clean's payroll (PAYE). Holiday pay of 12.07% is included in the hourly rate and shown separately on your payslip.
Do I need a share code?+
If you are not British or Irish, yes: a Home Office share code for right to work. British and Irish citizens show their original passport or birth certificate to the office.
Can students work?+
Yes. If your visa limits your hours, the app keeps you within 20 hours a week during term time.
